Research Shows Overall Positive Impact of SIA Licensing

However, a worrying level of violence against security operatives was reported, with further work by the SIA already underway to investigate this.

SIA publishes it's "Customer Service Commitment"

This new policy will redefine the level of assistance that applicants receive, and the standards that applications will be carried out from. The basis for this new policy derives from two simple aims of the SIA: delivering a service that meets the needs of customers, and delivering value.

Coalition Government abandons plans for a smoking ban review
Submitted by admin on Thu, 07/01/2010 - 15:333 years since Labour first brought the smoking ban into effect, and the new Coalition Government has scrapped it's predecessor's plans to review the smoking ban, which is raising hopes within the pub industry that extra measures will not be implemented.
A spokeswoman for the Department Of Health has confirmed that the plans will be scrapped. “There are no plans to review the smoking ban at the present time.” she said.
England Football Shirt Ban Rumour

Speculation started in March after the Met issued advice to pubs in Croydon, south London, suggesting ‘dress code restrictions – eg no football shirts’ in pubs screening matches.
